Thank you for such a lovely mix of writing and art. I’ve been thinking about it since I first read it on Sunday and had to come back to comment. Your work is so original, a reminder to keep true to ourselves and our creative hopes.
As usual, I am fascinated by the short character stories you share. Are they all “real” people? Or perhaps crafted as much as your other art? “You can’t pickle an egg” is brilliant and I am sure to share with my family when I make pickled eggs this Easter. Happy Spring creating Cathy!
I used to write poetry, eons ago. Then I went to work at a newspaper and American newspapers consider poetry non-existent. Now that I'm retired, lo all these years, maybe I'll start again. Thanks for the inspiration. And I know what you mean about going to church after many years. I don't think I'll start that again. Give me some solitude, a green forest, a memorable sunset and kindly folks. That works.
beautiful poetry and ideas-also I like your blues and browns working together
The blues and browns are so nice. I love both postcard sets I’ve received. Maybe a chicks set, your chick paintings are always a favorite.

Poetry lovers, and writers here too Cathy.
I recently learned of a new-to-me poet, Ted Kooser. I've yet to get one of his books, but liked what I read online.
John Ashbury is a favourite.
Thank you for sharing your art and words...I enjoy your Studio Notes so much.
Happy poetry writing.
