Thank you always for your studio notes, Cathy. This line meant so much to me today, “Years ago, I remember finding the woodland and realising I was no longer going to be lonely.”

I particularly love the story about Other People's Ailments. It's the perfect description of the energy levels and the kind of mind that we have when not feeling our best selves. Your descriptions were so poetic and accurate. So very relatable.

Your abstract is beautiful and I love that you like to swing into abstract work from realism. Well, I love all of your work. Can't help but study and stare at the images!

It seems that rain is much needed in so many places on earth right now. We are in a very dangerously severe drought where I live, not to mention ten degree plus hikes in our average temperatures for a very long time. Our big reservoirs are dwindling to nothing. I do hope and pray for rain for you and the rest of the world that is so desperately needing it. I don't think that I have ever looked forward to the cooler temperatures as I do right now. I am hoping for the crispness of fall and the snowy bite of winter. We've also had no snow to speak of for several years. It seems pretty dismal right now but I refuse to give up hope.

Wishing you the blessing of cooler weather and rain.
