Wonderful post, paintings and poem. I especially love the effect of the warm brown paper you are using. And, the poem makes me feel as though I am there in your attic, witnessing the unfurling. Happy Easter to you Cathy!
I love that little poem, Cathy. May I suggest a hyphen on “horse chestnut” since it’s used as an adjective here and could cause miss reading? I misread it initially as “bright horse.”
Happy Easter! i’ve been enjoying your work on here for a little while now quietly and thought i’d finally drop a comment. i adore the atmosphere of your paintings and your writing is always such a treat, have a good day!
Happy Easter, Cathy! I smiled at your poem, as I was watching the chestnut trees near our house—the “candles” of flowers are nearly out. 💕 Your paintings are lovely.
Happy Easter, Cathy. The new paintings are beautiful and the colors full of spring feelings. Your poem is a joy and I love the word "raiment" too! Happy creating :-)
Your view from the window, shared, prompted sure appreciation in me for all that I am blessed to see. Here's to the bright new beginnings of Spring! Blessings, Cathy.
Happy Easter, Cathy. Wonderful collection paintings. I'm really loving the look of them on the brown paper, so warm. And the poem! Isn't it intriguing how a small collection of letters can look so much like what they are describing?

Happy Easter, and Resurrection Day!
Your poems are enjoyable.
I hope to paint as well as you some day. They speak to me.
I did a bird last week on an 8x10 paper and put it on my refrigerator to inspire myself.
God's blessings on your new week.
