I am loving the new directions and experimentation! I love in particular the mix of paint, collage, monoprint and ink - they complement each other so beautifully!

Cathy, you are always pushing your creativity toward exploration and I deeply appreciate this. Your sketchbooks, tiny paintings, and stories inspire me to do the same and I thank you. The monoprints especially struck a chord of artistic curiosity this week and I'll be trying a few myself. Have a lovely week and I agree about cooler weather being better than the heat. When I can throw on a cardigan to chase away the chill, I love it!

Hi Cathy: Oh, I especially like the tea bowls, the little flashes of white in contrast with the earthen tones. Absolutely lovely. I also always enjoy the adventures with your son. I look forward to what I call "my Sunday reading."

Your monoprints are amazing! I also very much like the tea-bowls. As always, your stories/short fictions are wonderful, Cathy. I can also visualize the entire bird city at the edges of the river, just out of human sight. I am always enchanted when I lock eyes with a bird - I have been having a relationship with the seagulls on the roof of the apartment next to us, as they stand guard while the fluffy spotted young birds totter about. I also have been talking to the local crows, as they remember me from year to year, and hop power poles as I walk to work - they don't go more than a few blocks, but they are either happy to have me out of "their' area or they are shepherding me on my way, with care.
