Just to say - I do not live in a busy city, but a small-ish town. I hastily did not edit that bit at the beginning of my notes.

I love the word and idea of ‘bonkers’. It’s connected to ‘beautiful,’ ‘balance,’ and ‘bountiful’ in this quirky bird’s way of thinking. Your summer pages are glorious, and I’m holding the lines “Even the broken crone will feel the gristle of her heart again if she drinks the rose.” in my thoughts. Thanks as always, Cathy, for your honest and lovely sharing.

I love the summer poem, the lazy bee, and your self-confidence. Not a "let them eat cake" type of thing, but an "I am what I am" attitude. And, oh, golly, that yellow gives me happy goosebumps.

From one poet to another, this is a beautiful line: “a stutter of shadow - bird in the long afternoon”

I may have said this to you before Cathy but I love the yellows in your summer drawings. I don't like yellow normally but somehow it works here!

Thank you Delia, yellow is a favourite colour of mine - colour is such a personal thing, so intriguing. I say I don’t like blue so much but then see it everywhere in my work and today I am wearing my favourite hot weather skirt - blue.
