Hello again and I hope you are well. If you are celebrating Easter may I send you all my best wishes.
This week, as a change from my usual ramblings, I am offering you several photos of my spring decorating. I have been busy stitching, tidying, rearranging and rediscovering things made in past years. I hope you enjoy seeing.
No apologises for how pretty and cozy everything is - that is how we like to decorate at this time of year. It has been a long, dark winter and I embrace this change of season. So yes, touches of colour whilst maintaining the nostalgic feel of my home filled with collection, books and handmade things.
photo: I enjoy the blue and white collection on our bay window sill. Our living room is quite dark, but the light comes in the morning, with the blue and white ceramics coming to life.
photo: hand stitched projects
Photos: nostalgia and collections (flowers dried from last summer)
photo: old French bears from my collection with a rabbit doll I made several years ago, old books.
photo: a mother hen and her chicks - on a quilt I made last year
photo: the inspiration board above my desk re-jigged for spring
photo: a collection of ceramics and spun cotton rabbits by Maria Paula (spuncottongirl) - someone I have ‘known’ online since I first started making folk art inspired things back when my daughter was a baby - my daughter will be 26 tomorrow!

Thank you for reading here, for all your kind encouragement and support. I hope you may enjoy your own decorating, if that is something you like to do. Perhaps I may inspired you to make a few stitches, or find a little colour in your rooms.
