To your yellow dress...my son and I have been paying close attention to a 'little black dress' and a 'fascinator' type hat hanging on a neighbor's hallway curio cabinet.
It has hung there for almost a month; I wonder if it is patiently waiting to attend, perhaps, a June wedding? The neighbor's curtain, sometimes tied in a center knot to allow the breeze to pass is unknotted and the window, closed. It is June 1st...we'll have to wait and see.
Hi Cathy! I made it to your exhibition on Saturday! Wonderful! And lots of little red stickers next to your pieces which I believe means that you sold them. I enjoyed the entire area and spent the whole afternoon there. Thanks for mentioning it here!
Thank you Delia! I really appreciate you visiting the exhibition - yes, I sold several pieces and am very grateful for all the interest. I am glad to hear you had an enjoyable afternoon
I love how you capture those blue bottles (finding old bottles is one of my daughter’s ASD focuses and we get overrun with them, sometimes I forget their beauty!).
Always a delight to see books popping up in your work again.
And “the grey powder was what I thought dead people might eat.” made me yelp out a huge laugh. So perfectly described.
There is a wonderful and informative book that you might like-Touched With Fire By Kay Redfield Jamison (many great books by this author, do you know her?)
She explores many artists; their life and work, including Virginia Woolf.
Thank you Charlene for this book suggestion - yes there are many good books on Woolf. I tend toward literary criticism rather than psychologist written books - I am sceptical of the latter (from personal experiences). But I am grateful to you and any book that steers readers toward Woolf is a good thing.
Fairies! Six-year-old me knew they were everywhere - especially in holes in old bricks. Fifty years on and I haven't seen them in a while. But I have a lovely friend - and she's 30 - who will not allow any mention of the idea of them not existing. So they must be around still. Never swallowed one. Bit jealous. Thank you, as always, for all the loveliness
Thank you for becoming a lovely part of my Sunday morning routine. Your art, thoughts, and short stories are always a joy to read.
Thank you Coco, I really do appreciate your thoughtfulness. Thanks for reading.
I instantly visualized the yellow dress you described hanging in the window. I'm so intrigued now.
Many thanks for reading Katie, much appreciated

Thank you Jessica, I am now intrigued about your dress watching just as much! Thanks always for reading

Thank you Gabrielle - much appreciated and thank you for reading!
Stacks of books make me happy; stacks of books in paintings are even better! 💕
Many thanks indeed Sheila

You’re welcome!
You swallowed a fairy! That image just tickled me!
Thank you Nancy! I am pleased to know
My tiny painting collection is growing and is delightful
Thank you so much Lynn!
