A brief note
December I
Hello Everyone
photo: still life with green lady jug and robin cup - a new daily drawing
This is my daily drawing from yesterday. I wanted to continue on with my ‘bird in hand’ theme - that appears so often in my work. I also wished to combine green with a little red, and without making it too ‘Christmas’.
This drawing will be included in my next shop update - the last before Christmas:
Wednesday 10th December - 7pm a selection of new drawings with preview from 4pm
I will have a mix of drawings including some smaller and larger works.
There is a link to my shop below. I currently have a few artworks available. I also have one painting available via Two Artists at Home.
Thank you to everyone who commented and emailed following on from last week’s notes - and my thoughts on future studio notes. I do appreciate you taking the time to share your own thoughts. I am encouraged to continue to offer my writing, in a way that feels sensible and comfortable to me. Thank you.
Next week I hope to share a selection of tiny festive stories. Until then, I hope you have a good week ahead.
Cathy

Morning Cathy from snowy Ottawa, Canada, I do love your Sunday Notes, they perk up my quiet morning coffee, and I love your addition of red in your flowers and bird. It is indeed a festive drawing!
Good afternoon Cathy, from a very wet and windy Wales.
I did not have a chance to respond to last week's Studio Notes.
As you know, I very much enjoy reading your words and looking at your art on a Sunday. I've been impressed with your management of time in fitting in all that you do....and how generous you are in sharing your work and world with us. From a totally selfish standpoint I would love you to continue, but from a non selfish one, what makes you happy is the most important.
We visited our son last week and I collected your poetry book and 3 postcards. It is a joy to read. My two favourites are 'Sketchbook' and 'Tree Shapes'. The postcards and the bird paintings are up on the walls of our home on wheels and bring smiles whenever our eyes fall on them.
It is a pleasure to now have three 'Cathy Cullis' books. I revisited 'A Pocketful of Ghosts' and 'Maudie' during Samhain.
Heartfelt thanks for sharing your work Cathy.
Apologies for such a long comment!
Wishing you and your loved ones a good week.
